Hunter S Thompson is dead

Hunter S Thompson is no more of this Earth. He showed us that writing can be as powerful as a nuclear blast, invented his own form of journalism and inspired a whole generation of wannabe writers, including me.
If nothing else, read his novel The Rum Diary, written 1959 but not published until almost 30 years later. It's up there with the best.
Hunter was probably also a good indication that too many drugs, mixed and in to large quantities can harm your health.
